Taapsee: Versatile & Talented Actress

Taapsee Pannu though entered films as a regular glamour doll heroine has shifted her path towards more serious roles and proved her versatility. She is now a popular face for a particular genre which needs strong female protagonist. Though she entered film industry with Telugu film she did Tamil, Malayalam films and later shifted to Hindi films. She worked as a software engineer before she entered into modelling and then into movies.

Taapsee made her debut into films with Telugu film Jhummandi Naadam directed by veteran K. Raghavendra Rao with Manchu Manoj in the lead role. She earned recognition with her glamorous role in the film. She got her next offer from Tamil, Aadukalam starring Dhanush in Vetrimaaran's direction. The film won six national awards. She then debuted into Mollywood with a Mammootty starrer.

After doing Vastadu Naa Raaju with Manchu Vishnu, Taapsee got big offer as second female lead in Prabhas starrer Mr Perfect. It became superhit and fetched her more offers. She starred in Ravi Teja's Veera, Gundello Godaari, Mogudu, Daruvu and Shadow. Most of the films became failures at the boxoffice.

Then her career took a turn in Bollywood. She has already did a couple of Hindi films Chashme Baddoor and Baby with Akshay Kumar and earned recognition. But, Pink made her a star in Bollywood. Her bold and intense character in riveting court drama aided by Amitabh Bachchan won her numerous accolades. Since then she continued doing strong roles and content oriented films in Bollywood. Meanwhile she also does some intersting films, Anando Brahma in Telugu and Game Over in Tamil.
