Vidya Balan speaking to scribes shared “There's a lot of talent involved in commercial, glamorous roles. You may be doing just four songs and three scenes, but you have to do them with conviction. I missed that completely early on."

She continued "I thought that if you can do four songs and four scenes, you can really sleepwalk through it. And that backfired very badly. So in some of the films that did well, I got criticized a lot,”

Vidya will be seen in her upcoming film Neeyat. She is playing the role of a detective in the film directed by Anu Menon and is bankrolled under Abundantia Entertainment.
