Crew members were injured in Gladiator 2 sets. Hollywood movie lovers cannot forget the classic film, Gladiator. The film which starred Russell Crowe in the lead role under Ridley Scott's direction in 2010 went on to win five Oscar awards. Now the film's sequel Gladiator 2 is progressing at a brisk pace.
In the midst of all this, shocking news is coming that a fire accident occurred in the sets of Gladiator 2 and this resulted in more than six crew members being injured. The accident happened when the makers are shooting an action sequence in Morocco.
A source shares "It was terrifying - a huge ball of fire flew up and caught several crew members in its path. In years of filming I've never seen an accident so scary," and continues "Everyone involved, from the lowliest runners to the star names, has been shaken up by this,"
The makers released the statement which ran "all in stable condition and continue to receive treatment", Paramount Pictures spokesperson said: "The safety and full medical services teams on-site were able to act quickly so that those who were impacted immediately received necessary care."They said it has "strict health and safety procedures in place on all our productions" and would take "all necessary precautions as we resume production".
Gladiator 2 stars Pedro Pascal, Paul Mescal, Denzel Washington, Connie Nielsen in important roles. The film is slated for a grand release on 22 November 2024.
