Superstar Rajinikanth  image and charisma knew no bounds. This senior actor has been trying new avenues off-late and is doing wide range of films. He has recently wrapped his Jailer in Nelson Dilipkumar's Direction of Sun Pictures production. The film is gearing up to release for Independence day weekend. He is playing a key role in Lal Salaam.

He is playing as Don in daughter Aishwarya Rajnikanth’s film Lal Salaam. He joined her daughter on the sets of her film on Sunday. On this occasion, Aishwaryaa penned a heartwarming note for her father expressing her excitement for this collaboration with an Instagram post tagging a BTS picture of her directing his father. 

Rajinikanth is seen seated inside a car sporting black shades. Aishwarya Rajinikanth is making her comeback to direction with Lal Salaam. She earlier directed 3 with Dhanush and Shruti Haasan. Lal Salaam features Vikranth and Vishnu Vishal in lead roles while Rajinikanth is seen in a crucial role as Moideen Bhai. Veteran cricketer Kapil Dev is also doing a guest appearance in the film.
