Happy Birthday To Renowned Director Gunasekhar

The filmography of Gunasekhar leaves everyone with an admiration towards him. His career includes films belonging to different genres and the growth as a filmmaker is inspiring. He made socio-political Films, Mythologies, Action Love Stories, Family Drama, Political films, Social Drama. It's not easy to have so much genres in one director's body of work and made them impressively. As he progresses through his career he became a director of grandeur films.

Guna Sekhar who was an assistant to DV Narasaraju, Kranthi Kumar and Ram Gopal Varma has turned into director with Laathi in 1992. The film has heavy influence of Ram Gopal Varma but Gunasekhar showed his own mark winning numerous accolades. He also recieved Nandi Award for Best First Film Director for Laathi. Then he directed family drama Sogasu Chooda Tarama with a sensational point. It also won Nandi Award for Best Film. 

Gunasekhar made Ramayanam with kids which marks the debut of Jr NTR in a full-length role as lord Rama. Then he changed his course and went mainstream with Chudalani Vundi with Megastar Chiranjeevi. He used DTS sound technology for the first time in Tollywood and made the film so stylishly with top quality. The film became a blockbuster. The he made Manoharam based on terrorism. The film also won Nandi Awards. 

In 2003, he made Okkadu with Mahesh which is a career turning point for Mahesh and Gunasekhar. The film became an all-time Blockbuster which leads to make two more films in the same combination, Arjun and Sainikudu. He made historical film Rudhramadevi with Anushka Shetty in 3D and recently made mythological film Shaakuntalam with Samantha.
