2018 Crosses Rs 100cr Becoming Third Highest Malayalam Film

There's absolutely no stopping for Malayalam Film 2018 starring Tovino Thomas, Kunchako Boban, Asif Ali and Lal directed by Jude Anto Joseph. The film opened to glowing reviews has been collecting record numbers at the ticket windows. The film amassed Rs 100 crores in its 11 days. 2018 has emerged as the fastest Malayalam film to cross 100 crore mark at worldwide boxoffice. 

Earlier Mohan Lal - Prithviraj 's Lucifer crossed RS 100 Crore mark in 14 days. 2018 is also the first Malayalam movie to achieve this milestone post pandemic. The film has grossed RS 44 Crores from domestic markets and RS 56 Crores from global market. Among which it collected a lion share of RS 23 crores only from UAE and gulf countries. 

The film which was considered as a huge project in Kerala before it's release has spread into other states and languages for its strong compelling content. The team has been pushing the film to other languages also. It will soon release in Telugu language too.

2018 is next looking to emerge as all time highest grossing Malayalam film. Currently, Mohanlal's Pulimurugan stands at Rs 140 Crs and Lucifer at Rs 120 Crs. Considering the trend of the film, it will overtake these films in the coming days and will emerge as all time blockbuster in Malayalam. The film will start streaming in Sony LIV from June second week.
