Happy Birthday To Ustaad Ram Pothineni

Ram Pothineni who started as a boy-next-door image has slowly and steadily transformed his image to a lover boy and then as a mass hero. He is probably one of the very few heroes who can impress doing both Love Stories and Mass Commercial films. He is trying varied genres. Ram is celebrating his birthday today.

Ram Pothineni is son of Murali Pothineni who is a brother of popular producer 'Sravanthi' Ravi kishore. So, he has a easy entry into films. But, before that he acted in a Tamil short film Adayaalam in 2002. Then at the age of 18, Ram made his debut as a Hero with Devadas directed by YVS Chowdary in 2006. Illeana is also made her debut with this film. Devadas became a blockbuster. 

Then he started in Sukumar Directorial Jagadam which won his critical acclaim. Then his second commercial success came from Ready directed by Srinu Vaitla. Then after a brief lull period, Ram scored a superhit again with Kandireega with his hyper active performance. After some average films at th boxoffice, He scored a superhit with Nenu Sailaja costarring Keerthy Suresh which marks her debut in Telugu.

Ram's first time collaboration with Puri Jagannadh turned into a Blockbuster iSmart Shankar. His next film Red which was a remake of Tamil film has won him accolades for his terrific performance in dual role. Now he is doing film with Boyapati Sreenu and his next with Puri Jagannadh titled Double Ismart.
