Vijay Antony Clears About Bichagadu 2 Story Plagiarism Allegations

Music director turned actor Vijay Antony has become a successful hero by choosing different concepts for his films. One such film was Bichagadu which was released in 2016. The film which had a limited release initially slowly turned out to become huge blockbuster. It brought Vijay Antony notable recognition and since then all of his films are having simultaneous release in Telugu too. Now, he is readying sequel Bichagadu 2. The film faced allegations over plagiarism. 

Bichagadu 2 which is a sequel to 2016 smash hit is directed by Vijay Antony himself and is producing by his wife under their banner. Kavya Thapar is playing as female lead in the film. Story wise, this sequel is no way related to its first part. The film has a concept of brain transplantation. Several cases have been filed over the film claiming that the story of Bichagadu 2 belongs to them. 

Vijay Antony who came to Hyderabad for Bichagadu 2 promotions spoke about the issue. He said, " Bichagadu 2 has brain transplantation concept. But, the entire film doesn't run on that concept. Someone from Singapore and a couple of writers alleged that it is their story. Probably they thought it is similar to their story because of brain transplantation concept. There were numerous films made with that concept in the past. Court ruled out these cases after proper enquiry. I met with a fatal accident during this film's shoot and now fully recovered. I feel more energetic now."

Bichagadu 2 is hitting the screens on May 19. While the first part has mother sentiment as its core point the sequel is said to run on sister sentiment. The teaser and Anti Bikili campaign draws enough attention for the film.
