Sanju Samson on meeting Rajinikanth

Star cricketer Sanju Samson met Super Star Rajinikanth and speaking to scribes shared his experience after meeting him.

He said, "It was a special kind of feeling for me. As I had said in my Instagram post, it was a dream for the last 20 or 21 years to meet him. I was thinking sometime I might meet him at the airport or at some event and click selfies, but I really wanted to go and meet him at his house."

He added "It became really special when he called me up last year when we reached the finals of the IPL. His family watch a lot of cricket and they were supporting Rajasthan Royals in the finals. The kids in the family were apparently fans of RR and so they reached out to me through his manager. I was like I am a huge fan of Rajini sir and how can this happen like this,"

He shared "The manager called me up and connected me to Rajinikanth sir and I said, 'Sir, Na unga periya fan' and he responded with his trademark laughter. He then invited me home. It was unbelievable. When I went and met him I told him how special he is to me since my childhood,"
