Samuthirakhani's role in Vimanam is revealed. Samuthirakhani is playing the differently disabled dad in Vimanam directed by Siva Prasad Yanala. Siva Prasad is making his debut as a director after working as a writer for films like Venky Mama and Anthaku Minchi.
Speaking about the film. he says. “Four years ago, I used to live near the airport. Every day, my son, who was then four years old, and I would go near the compound wall of the airport and look at planes landing and taking off. My son loved those sights and always told me that he wanted to go on a plane. I told him that once he grows up, he can go. But he wanted to go in the next few days. I told him I myself have not gone on a plane. This conversation gave me an idea about a father with a son who has dreams of going on a plane,”
He added, “Some of the scenes in the film are taken right out of my real life. However, I have treated this premise in a cinematic way. ”. On why he cast Samuthirakhani, he said “I wanted a good performer who also had a dark complexion. I loved Samuthirakani’s acting in Raghuvaran B Tech (the Telugu-dubbed version of Velaiilla Pattadhari) and Vada Chennai, and I felt he would be apt. Telugu actor Dhanraj put me in touch with Samuthirakani. ”
Meera Jasmine's role is maintained as suspense while Anasuya and Rahul Ramakrishna are playing the roles of a woman in the slum and a cobbler. Dhanraj is playing the role of an auto driver. Master Dhruvan, the child actor who played the young Allu Arjun in Pushpa: The Rise, has been cast in the role of Samuthirakani’s son. Naan Kadavul Rajendran is also part of the cast.
