The First Look Of Muttiah Muralitharan Biopic 800 Unveiled

Legendary cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan has left an indelible mark in international cricket. He has 16 world records, most of which are unlikely to be broken in the near future. The spin wizard was rated the greatest Test Match bowler by Wisden’s Cricketers Almanack in 2002. In 2017, he was the first Sri Lankan cricketer to be inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame. 

Muralitharan's Biopic is titled 800, after the no of wickets he has taken in test cricket. It has been in news since a couple of yeras. Initially it was Vijay Sethupathi who was roped in to do Murali's role. But, due to Tamil - Sri Lanka issues he was threatened by separatists as a Tamilian he must not to do the role of Sri Lankan bowler. Now the makers roped in Madhur Mittal to play his role.  

Today on Murali's 51st birthday on April 17. As a special birthday gift, the makers of his biopic unveiled a poster on the occasion. Madhur Mittal transformed to look like the cricketer with short hair and a French beard. We can seen the reflection of wickets with bails out on his face on the first look. They also have unveiled a motion poster today. Madhur Mittal is known for his role in Slumdog Millionaire. 

The film written and directed by M.S. Sripathy will release in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu. The film produced by Movie Train Motion Pictures and Vivek Rangachari is slated to release this year.
