Sankalp made a promising debut as a director with Ghazi starring Rana Daggubati. The film based on true submarine war between India and Pakistan became highly successful winning both collections and accolades. After Ghazi, amidst huge expectations Sankalp made Antariksham with Varun Tej. But, the film failed at the box-office. Now he is coming with a Bollywood film starring Vidyut Jammwal titled IB71.
Makers unveiled the teaser of IB71. The film is about ‘three nations, 30 agents, 10 days and one top secret mission’. Vidyut Jammwal, seen essaying the role of an IB agent, who is on a secret mission to save the nation. This espionage thriller is based on a true incident of how Indian Intelligence Officers outwitted the entire Pakistani establishment and gave the Indian armed forces the required advantage to face a two-front war.
IB71 is billed to be a patriotic spy thriller which will focus on the untold story based on true events where IB agent Dev Jammwal (played by Vidyut) is on a top secret mission to save the nation. Anupam Kher is also seen in an important role. It is Vidyut’s debut production venture under his banner Action Hero Films.
The film is also backed by Reliance entertainment and T-series. Gnana Shekar VS is handling the cinematography and editing by Sandeep Francis. Music has been scored by Vikram Montrose with background score by Prashanth Vihari. The film is slated to release on 12th May.
