Celebrities lashed out at Posani Krishna Murali's controversial comments. It is known that Posani Krishna Murali, who was rewarded by the AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy for his staunch support to YSRCP with the post of  Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh State Film Television and Theatre Development Corporation, is known for creating controversial comments.

Today he made shocking comments saying that Nandi awards were decided based on the caste (Kamma) and so he rejected them. He said he rejected them and he fought with the jury members who are Kamma except one and helped many get the awards.

He said he rejected the Nandi award when the Government awarded it for his performance in Jr NTR's Temper. Following his controversial comments, celebrities lashed out at Posani Krishna Murali. Celebrities like Prasanna Kumar and Murali Mohan said Posani might have spoken in support of the YSRCP government as the press meet is a government-sponsored one.

They said the awards are decided purely on merit and talent and asked Posani not to create a wedge in the film industry. They said the film industry belongs to artists' community and is not for any other community.
