Mrunal Thakur spoke her mind on good touch and bad touch and sent a powerful advice to the society. Mrunal Thakur captured the imagination of all with her debut film Sitharamam in Tollywood. Speaking at an event, organised in Chennai to honor the activists who helped the survivors of child abuse, Mrunal shared “This event gave me an opportunity to meet the superheroes who have gone the extra mile to help the kids and protect their childhood in whatever possible ways they can,”
Mrunal implored “Firstly, we need to believe our children and understand what they are going through. If the child is coming to you to share his/her fears or an episode that happened in their life, it’s important to believe them. Most of the stories that I know or have heard are about parents or family members who have refused to accept that something like abuse has happened to their child. It is happening to boys as well, and it’s important to listen to them. We need to educate kids about good touch and bad touch. Kids are more into social media these days and have been pursuing their education online post COVID. So, it’s important as a parent to supervise them, to know what they are up to. The internet is very dangerous, as we really don’t know who is on the other side,”
Mrunal continued , “There are so many adult survivors, who still bear the scar of abuse. I want all of us to come together and make this society a safer place to live in so that our kids are not hesitant to reach out to us, the cops, or anyone else.”
Mrunal rubbished rumours on her being part of Suriya's project and also the rumour that she brought a property in Hyderabad.
