Ram Charan Expressed To Act As Virat Kohli In His Biopic

Ram Charan is now a global sensation after Oscars where RRR won the academy award for the original song Naatu Naatu featuring himself with NTR. He has became hugely popular in his role with RRR all-over the world. This newly found popularity has opened new doors for him. While Charan has played a variety of roles on the screen, he expressed his desire to work in a sports biopic. He said that he would love to portray former Indian skipper Virat Kohli.

Ram Charan participated in India Today's Conclave where he expressed his opinions and interests. He said, "I would like to play anything to do with sport. It's been a long due. Maybe a sports-based film,” Ram Charan said when he was asked about a role that he would love to play. When he was suggested Virat's name, he said at the India Today Conclave, "Fantastic, he is an inspiring soul. I think given a chance, it will be fantastic as I look similar also.”

He also shared up about his Favourite Bollywood superstar, Salman Khan. "Even before I wanted to meet him, he invited me being my dad’s Chiranjeevi’s very old friend. They have done ads together for a very, very long time. Mr. Salman Khan. He said ‘Beta, I heard you’re in town.’ I said, ‘How come?’ He said nothing happens in Bombay without his knowledge. He invited me home and that warm reception I’ll keep in my heart," recalled Ram Charan.

Ram Charan dubbed for Salman Khan in Telugu version of Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo and he is making his first onscreen presence with his favourite star in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. He also spoke about his Hollywood film, he said it is very early to tell anything about it.
