Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi: What's Behind

Naga Shourya's Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi directed by Avasarala Srinivas is attracting the attention of all with youthful content. The film's OTT deal has been inked with SunNXT and streaming will be done after the end of its theatrical run. Let us find out how Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi entertained movie lovers.

Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi Movie: Story Review

Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi's story is all about two young couples and the phases they pass through in their romantic journey with the passage of time. Sanjay ( Naga Shourya) and his senior Anupama (Malvika Nair) get attracted over a period of time.

Where their romantic journey heads to and what role Giri (Avasarala Srinivas) and Pooja (Mega Chowdhary) form the rest of the story.

Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi (PAPA): Artists Review

Naga Shourya is fine in the role tailor-made for him. He surprises his fans by donning different get-ups showing variations in the timeline as the narration progresses. He is youthful in his looks as a youngster and emoted and expressed well. However, his role offered him nothing new to the viewers as he played such roles earlier in his career.

Malvika Nair is ok in looks and at times looked gorgeous, especially in sarees. She emoted well and expressed herself on screen. Both Naga Shourya and Malvika Nair complimented each other quite well.

Avasarala Srinivas is adequate in his role. Others like Megha Chowdhury, Ashok Kumar, Abhishek Maharshi, Srividhya, Varanasi Soumya Chalamcharla, Harini Rao, and Arjun Prasad performed accordingly.

Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi (PAPA): Technicians Review

Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi's story penned by Srinivas Avasarala is a feel-good romantic entertainer. Srinivas Avasarala planned to attract genex movie lovers with a youthful and soulful romantic entertainer. He starts the narration in an appealing manner with the title song in a couple of minutes taking viewers into the story. But from then screenplay and direction nosedives from where retrieving became extremely difficult.

With Avasarala Srinivas following his known template, he failed to offer anything new and exciting. Except for a few scenes in the first half with an appeal to the youngsters, nothing attracts them. The first half finally ends on a predictable note and viewers wait eagerly expecting a much better second half. However, the second half also sails in a predictable manner. The second half ends in giving relentless torture with Avasarala Srinivas trying to highlight the emotions of the lead pair in repetitive scenes.

But with no real strong conflict point and missing emotional connection and a slow pace, the film ends up giving a serial like experience to movie lovers with weak conflict point and the climax. Avasarala Srinivas planned to create the magic of romantic classics but in the end, ended up creating a romantic mess with outdated elements.

The music of Kalyani Malik is soulful. The songs are situational and are shot beautifully. All the songs are melodious. His background music is in sync with the story. The cinematography of Sunil Kumar Nama is good. He captured the scenic locations of Visakhapatnam, UK in an appealing manner. The editing of Kiran Ganti left a lot to be desired. There are many repetitive scenes and dialogues that slowed the pace of the film and tested the patience of the viewers. Dialogues of Avarasara Srinivas offered nothing new. They had the flavor of old movies and routine elements. The production values of People Media Factory are decent.

Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi: Advantages

  • Naga Shourya, Malvika Nair
  • A couple of songs
  • Few Moments

Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi: Disadvantages

  • Slow Paced Narration
  • Lack of Emotions
  • Missing Strong Conflict
  • Weak Climax

Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi: Rating Analysis

Altogether, Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi directed by Srinivas Avasarala turned out to be a routine romantic flick with no real captivating and heart-touching elements. Srinivas Avasarala for all the hard work of Naga Shourya and Malvika Nair failed with his story which offered nothing new and weak screenplay and direction. Dialogues and a slow pace ended up giving immense torture to the viewers. Srinivas Avasarala should have come out of his comfort zone and tried to include new and exciting elements to tune the romantic chords of the genex movie lovers. Considering all these aspects, Cinejosh goes with a 2 Rating for Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi.
