Dochevarevarura directed by Siva Nageswara Rao is releasing on 11 March 2023. The film is generating interest as Siva Nagesara Rao earlier came with films like Money, One By Two, Sisindri, Pattukondi Chuddam, and Mr. and Mrs. Sailaja Krishnamoorthy. The film's OTT partner is yet to be finalized. The film's OTT streaming will be done after the end of its theatrical run. Let us find out what Dochevarevarura offered to viewers.
Dochevarevarura's story is about love, romance, emotions, drugs, and crimes in and around Hyderabad and Mumbai. Siddhu (Pranav Chandra) along with a small kid passes time posing as good samaritans, one among them stealing and the other returning the same to the owners and getting something in return.
They happen to meet a beautiful girl Lakshmi (Malavika Satheesan) who works in IQ Solutions. When they try to help her, all of them land in trouble. Where this leads to, who is behind the murder of IQ Solutions manager Rahul, who is PK aka Professional Killer Satti (Bithiri Sathi), who is Vimal (Ajay Ghosh) and Kamal (Ajay Ghosh), from the rest of the story?
Pranav Chandra made his debut with this film. He tried his best to make an impression. However, he has to work hard on his body language, expressions, and emotions along with the dialogue delivery. Malavika Satheesan got the screen presence but did not get a scope to show her acting talent. She looked good on screen at times.
Ajay Ghosh played a dual role in the film and he showed his experience on the screen. He even got a duet on the screen.
Bithiri Sathi is ok with his performance. Tanikella Bharani, Kota Srinivasa Rao, and Banerjee played special roles. Others performed accordingly.
Dochevarevarura's story written by Siva Nageswara Rao offered nothing new. This showed that he is still stuck up in the 80s and 90s thought processes. Had he come up with this kind of story even in those days, it wouldn't have made any impact.
The narration starts of on a pale note and from then on each and every scene tests the patience of the viewers. There is nothing much in the dialogue and with a lack of strong emotions, all the stars pass through the motions.
His screenplay is stale and with nothing much in the story, he passed time with his direction which is directionless most of the time. Even Bithiri Sathi and Ajay Ghosh's comedy scenes turned out to be stale. He failed to get the optimum out of the cast. The duet and many scenes shot on Ajay Ghosh irritated the viewers.
Ganesh Arly's cinematography is good. He showed the beautiful locations of Goa in an appealing manner. The editing of Siva Prasad left a lot to be desired. There are many unnecessary scenes and this gave the impression that the film's duration is lengthy though it is just 120 minutes. The music of Rohit Vardhan is just ok and background music failed to elevate the scenes. Production values of IQ Creations are just average.
Altogether, Dochevarevarura exposes the thinking of Siva Nageswara Rao. While movie lovers have longtime back changed their tastes and preferences and even those coming up with soap operas are offering them better, interesting, and quality content, Siva Nagaswara Rao's Dochevarevarura, except for the attractive title, offered nothing new. In fact, the film has no story and he tried to tickle the bones of the viewers with a few hilarious scenes. But the staleness in those scenes boomeranged on Siva Nagesara Rao. It is ridiculous to come up with such films when viewers are sending strong signals even to the top stars, filmmakers, directors, and production houses to update and perish. For Siva Nageswara Rao's outdated story, screenplay, and direction, Cinejosh cannot but give only 1 Rating for Dochevarevarura.
