Rambha in our context is Deva Kanya. Now, title itself might be insulting to few of the hardcore Hindu religion followers. Rambha, Urvasi, Menaka, Tilottama…the heavenly nymphs, famous for their adept dance and music are very oftenly used in Telugu socio fantasy movies for special item songs. These apsaras follow their Master Kama Deva to woo the gods but surely not human beings.
Here is the movie ‘Brahma Lokam to Yama Lokam’ which has gone a step forward in its erotic content. We have heard of Vishwamitra’s penance disturbed by Menaka, now director G. Nageshwar Rao has brought down Rambha that is Aarthi Agarwal to perform sex with human being and hero Shivaji. Thought of director might be inspired from Vishwamitra but sure the way of implementing his idea has come under severe criticism by few of the movie lovers.
As per the story, the power of a boon granted by Brahma to our hero will be resolved only when hero performs sex with a lady other than his own wife. That is why, Lord Brahma hasn’t found any beauty other than Rambha to seduce our hero. Aarthi Agarwal’s cheap makeup and saucy oomph has made front benchers to go in whistles but surely few of the audience who knows about Mythology have criticised the characterisation of Aarthi Agarwal seducing Shivaji.
