Virupaksha Teaser Review

During this age of thrillers, horror films are confined more to horror-comedy genre. We don't often get thrillers mixed with horror elements. That too it's a rarity in A-list heroes films. But, Virupaksha breaks that barrier. This Supreme Hero Sai Dharam Tej starrer can be considered as the first film in such genre in many years. The title glimpse itself revealed that the film is a mystical thriller which are laced with supernatural elements. Makers succeeded in generating curiosity about the film among the audiences with title and posters.

Today, teaser of Virupaksha is unveiled and it further amps up the interesting factor. The teaser is nicely cut without revealing the actual plot line maintaining the curiosity factor. It begins with stating that something has happened in the history for the first time where Hero starts his journey to stop it. But, it is not revealed what it is actually about. The intercuts and fast shots show that the film has supernatural and back magic elements. It is showcased that the fight is against 'Unknown' where we can't hear it, see it, feel it. Sai Dharam Tej looks apt in a serious role who is on a mission here. The final shot where a girl falls into the well gives chills. The cinematography by Shamdat Sainudeen  looks perfect for a horror thriller with scenic yet creepy locations. Ajaneesh Lokanath's BGM has complemented the visuals and builds tension. 

Samyuktha played the female lead while Sukumar has provided the screenplay. Kartik Dandu is debuting as Director with this film. BVSN Prasad is jointly producing Virupaksha under his SVCC banner along with Sukumar Writings. The film is slated to hit the screens on 21st April, 2023 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages.
