Dhanush recollects his past to point to education importance

Dhanush is playing the role of a lecturer in his upcoming entertainer Vaathi/SIR which is releasing on 17 February. Ahead of its release, Dhanush is promoting the film by interacting with the scribes. In the process, Dhanush asked people to take education seriously. To emphasize it, Dhanush recollected his past to point out the importance of education.

He said 'I am repenting for neglecting studies. I am realizing how my parents worked hard to get a good education for me when I am trying to educate my children. During my school days, I used to neglect my studies and be naughty. I joined tuition not to study but for a girl. I was unable to answer any questions when the teacher used to ask. I stopped attending tuition and used to wait for the girl outside the tuition class and used to horn my bike so that the girl can know my arrival."

Dhanush continued that 'Tuition teacher observed this and told the class that students in the class will do well in the exam and be in good positions in the future while the person outside the class sounding the bike horn will be doing dances on the road. As he told, there is no street in Tamil Nadu where I didn't dance. Looking back, I repent for why I neglected my studies. I ask all my fans not to neglect studies"
