After RRR, Director SS Rajamouli's brand has reached a peak level. Apart from his own country, he has been praised by Hollywood people and media. RRR has become a phenomenon in the west. It is known that Rajamouli's next is with Superstar Mahesh Babu. This project has been on the books for several years. But, it has been delayed due to other commitments. But, Rajamouli finally decided to complete this long pending project before he moves on to his dream project. Meanwhile SSR got global recognition with RRR. Now he is the most sought after director not only in India but also in Asia. He has got massive resources at his hand to make whatever he wants on any scale he imagined. 

News is many Hollywood studios are approaching SS Rajamouli to collaborate for his next film. But, Rajamouli confirmed that he will be making his next with Mahesh. It is also known that it will be an adventurous films with a forest backdrop in the zone of legendary Indiana Jones films directed by Steven Spielberg. Latest update is that Disney who has already setup shop in India a decade back is now trying to tie up with Rajamouli - Mahesh's film and wants to take it to global arena. Nothing concrete has been decided yet but SSR and team are weighing the options to make #Ssmb29 as big as possible.

Meanwhile, SS Rajamouli recently won the best director award from the New York Film Critics Circle (NYFCC) for his epic adventure film, RRR. Although RRR wasn’t selected to represent India in the international feature category of the Academy Awards, Variance Films has mounted a substantial campaign to have the film recognized in the general categories, including best picture. Hollywood media are anticipating a win at the Oscars. If it happens, it will be a monumental achievement not only for SS Rajamouli but also for Indian Cinema.
