Balakrishna's Akhanda Completes First Anniversary

Some combinations create magic whenever they happen. Such a special combination is of Nandamuri Balakrishna and Boyapati Sreenu. After delivering two Blockbusters, they have joined together for a hat-trick film Akhanda. The film was announced in 2019 and went on to the floors in 2020 but due to COVID it was released on Dec 2nd, 2021.  Right from the morning show the film attained a superhit talk. Though many were skeptical about the film's result due to lack of enough story, audience thronged to theatres to watch Balayya's power packed performance in Aghora role.

Director Boyapati Sreenu has designed high-octane action sequences matching Nbk's screen presence. Thaman's electrifying background score has elevated every action sequence to a whole new level. Balakrishna's towering performance, dialogues in both roles especially as Akhanda has made the film a blockbuster at the boxoffice. It grossed more than Rs 110 crores at the box office marking biggest and first 100 crore grosser for Nbk. 

Producer Miriyala Ravinder Reddy has made the film in an uncompromised manner and exuded confidence right from the beginning of the project. He bankrolled the film under Dwaraka Creations. Pragya Jaiswal played as female lead while Srikanth and Poorna are seen in other crucial roles. Akhanda was also screened at 53rd IFFI which was recently held at Goa. The film also garnered very good response from north audiences for its dialogues about Hindu religion and temples when it was released on OTT in Disney Plus Hotstar.
