PS-2 Release in summer 2023

Mani Ratnam is one of the legendary filmmakers in the history of Indian cinema. Every actor dies to be in his films and the filmmaker is super high on the success of his dream project Ponniyin Selvan which has become a massive hit and has crossed the 350 crores gross worldwide.

Mani Ratnam is being lauded for his work as the film has become Tamil cinema's biggest hit to date once again proving the fact that Mani Ratnam is indeed the king when it comes to storytelling. Apart from Tamil, the reviews for the film were quite mixed but still, PS 1 has breezed through it and has come out as a big winner.

Now, the focus has shifted on the sequel PS-2. As per the latest update, the sequel will be out in the summer of 2023 and this news has made the Tamil fans happy. What's special is that Mani Ratnam has already shot for the sequel as well. Not many know that Ponniyan Selvan's two parts were shot in just 160 days.

This clearly shows that Mani Ratnam did not depend on much graphics like other directors and focused on characters and drama and the rest is history. We are really proud of you Mani Sir and can't wait to see what PS -2 has in store for us all when it releases.
