Baahubali crown becoming Prabhas burden

Prabhas used to be one of the top stars in Tollywood. He showed his mass power with Mirchi. Many expected that he would rule the industry with his next film. But then happened Baahubali with Rajamouli. Many who questioned his decision to dedicate 5 years to risking his career, were left dumbstruck.

Prabhas attained international name and fame and he became a pan India star. From then on he decided to come with the pan India market by planning combinations to attract North movie lovers. He turned a low-budget project Saaho into a pan-India one and got a huge shock. However, the craze for him among the masses in the North increased. But the missing connectivity with Tollywood sank the film in his own language.

He tried to expand his horizons by doing a romantic entertainer targeting North movie lovers. Radhe Shyam turned out to be the biggest disaster in his career. He is having pan India projects Adi Purush, Project K, Spirit, and Salaar. Adi Purush's teaser is getting trolled brutally not only for Prabhas' looks but also for the motion capture technology.

Many are of the opinion that the Baahubali crown is becoming a burden and turning out to be a bane for Prabhas. In order to expand his market in the North, Prabhas is neglecting the roots and his strengths which are Tollywood and Telugu fans. In the quest, he is losing his stardom in Tollywood and is unable to find acceptance in the North and finally is now in a situation neither here nor there.

He should take a cue from Rajamouli who is doing films in Tollywood and highlighting the emotions and strong stories which are crucial for the success of any film in any language. Unless Prabhas introspect and analyze strengths, weakness, opportunities, and threats, he will continue to slide down, bringing down not only his stature but also the stature of Tollywood.
