Ponniyin Selvan: Karthi knocks as Vanthiyathevan

Star director Maniratnam's Ponniyin Selvan is stealing the hearts of all. The makers are upping the promotional blitz. The makers yesterday released the first look of Vikram as Aditya Karikaalan. Now the makers released the first look of Karthi. Karthi is playing the role of  Vallavaraiyan Vandiyadevan. Releasing the first look the makers posted "The Prince without a kingdom, the spy, the swashbuckling adventurer...here comes Vanthiyathevan! #PS1"

Karthi looked royal and handsome flashing a smile while riding on the horse.  Aishwarya Rai, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Ashwin Kakamanu are playing important roles in the film for which music is tuned by Rahman. The film is releasing on September 30, 2022, in a grand manner. 

 It is the first of two cinematic parts based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's 1955 novel Ponniyin Selvan. The film is written by Ratnam along with Elango Kumaravel and B. Jeyamohan. Mani Ratnam is co-producing the film under his production studio Madras Talkies, along with Allirajah Subaskaran under the banner Lyca Productions.
