Ponniyin Selvan locks its release

Star director Maniratnam is realising his dream project Ponniyin Selvan. The project is nearing completion and has a star-studded cast. According to the latest, the makers locked the release date. Sharing the release date the makers released a video. They posted "Look out! Brace yourself. Get ready for an adventure.  The Cholas are coming! " The film is releasing on September 30, 2022. 

The film stars Vikram, Aiswarya Rai, Jayam Ravi, Karthi,Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Ashwin Kakamanu in the lead roles and is an adaptation of  Kalki Krishnamurthy's 1955 novel by the same name. Rahman is the music director while Cinematography is handled by Ravi Varman and editing by Sreekar Prasad.

The film is bankrolled by Mani Ratnam, under his production studio Madras Talkies, along with Allirajah Subaskaran under the banner Lyca Productions. Many in Kollywood are of the opinion that the film will break all the records of Baahubali and create a sensation at the box office.
