Shootings in Tollywood is set to come to a standstill as the 24 crafts decided to go on strike. This will be for the first time after covid pandemic and lockdown when the shootings came to standstill, Tollywood will be facing a similar situation. Workers have been demanding an increase in their salaries which have been their longstanding demands.
They even decided to throng the Film Federation office from Tomorrow apart from stalling the shootings. Producers Council is yet to respond on the entire issue. Film Union is demanding a hike in the salaries of cleaners, production boys, drivers, lightmen, fighters, and dancers.
The salaries should be revised every three years but this time,it was not done even after four years. A senior film worker, shared his thoughts saying "We have every right to ask for better wages. On average, a film worker gets anywhere between 500-1500 per day. We knew that our decision would affect all the film shootings, but if we won't fight for our rights, who else will?"
