One gets a feeling that the national media is completely ignorant of the southern part of the country. Though channels like NDTV, Times Now, Republic, Headlines Today, and CNN boast themselves as National channels and claim that they cover the news from across the country impartially, most of them are biased towards the North and are completely ignorant of the South. This is because they have their offices in Delhi and Mumbai and all the journalists are from the North. They give huge coverage to even tiny news when it is connected to the North and Delhi but even when something sensational happening in the south, they choose to ignore them. This shows the knowledge levels and the partial standards of North media and they stand exposed over their ignorance regarding the south region.

National media extensively covered the news of Mahesh Babu's comments over Bollywood and even held prime-time debates regarding the same. However, national media branded Mahesh Babu as the Kannada star. This shows that the channels though they organize debates in English are ignorant of the fact that there are four languages Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, and Malayalam, and five states Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and union territory Pondicherry.

Ever since the independence, they are under the impression that the South means only Tamilians and Madrasis. This changed a bit after NTR won the elections igniting the Telugu and Andhra pride. Even during RRR promotions and while talking about Baahubali, North channels, Sony and others brand it as a Tamil film. They brand Mahesh Babu's Pokiri as a Tamil film since Prabhu Deva directed the Hindi remake Wanted with Salman Khan. One can understand Hindi channels showing their ignorance but even English channels boasting of professionals showing their ignorance is shocking. Their all-time low was when they displayed Mega Star Chiranjeevi's photo when Kannada actor Arjun Sarja passed away.

It is alright not to know the facts but before organizing a debate they should do their homework right about various celebrities. Even South people may not be knowing about various freedom fighters from the North but vice versa and while talking about any subject one should do their homework. Even during RRR reviews, many from the North unaware of the freedom fighters, mistook RamCharan's Alluri Seetha Rama Raju's character as inspired by Lord Ram and NTR's character Komaram Bheem inspired by Bheem of Mahabharat.
