Shahid Kapoor's Jersey avoids clash

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has been pinning all his hopes on his upcoming entertainer Jersey. The film is a remake of Natural Star Nani's Jersey directed by Gautam Tinnanuri. The remake starred Mrunal Thakur as the female lead. The makers planned to release the film on April 14, 2022.

But much to the disappointment of all, the makers postponed the film's release. The makers decided to postpone the film release to April 22,2022 to avoid a clash with mass action entertainers Yash's KGF2 and Vijay's Beast which are releasing this week. The makers shared " “Jersey POSTPONED by one week… Will arrive in cinemas on 22 April 2022… The stakeholders arrived at the decision late last night."'

This is for the fifth time the makers postponed the film release on various counts. The film is bankrolled by Geetha Arts, Dil Raju Production, Sithara Entertainments, and Brat Films. Anirudh Ravichander scored the BGM while Anil Mehta handled the camera. Music is scored by Sachet Parampara. Shahid Kapoor was hellbent on releasing Jersey in theatres and rejected many crazy deals from the OTTs.
