Omkar to continue with Aata

Andhra Pradesh High Court today issued a stay order on the State Human Rights Commission Chairman Subhashan Reddy’s  order of banning the reality dance show Aata immediately. Questioning the HRC order, producer and director of the show Omkar approached High Court quoting the financial burdens he has to face with an immediate ban on the show.

Delivering the judgement, High Court has put the stay on HRC order giving permission for Omkar to continue with the show till the next judgement which will be given shortly. Meanwhile Zee Network can telecast the show regularly.

Human Rights activists in the state were surprised by this judgement which was mainly looked from the view point of financial losses of Omkar instead of the damage this show has been doing to children.
