Can they adopt 'Simha' and 'Puli'?

Though title may be deceptive, but this one does matter and make sense because we here are not speaking about the on screen ‘Simha’ and ‘Puli’ but about the real ‘Simha’ (Lions) and ‘Puli’ (Tigers) at Vizag rehabilitation centre.

Keeping in tune the filmy mania surrounded around these two movies, one of our regional channel has rightly focussed on these deadly animals on the verge of extinction. Vizag and Tirupathi are the two places where rehabilitation centres for Lions and Tigers are built up by our Government.

There are 35 Lions and 12 Tigers (All Royal Bengal Tigers) in Vizag rehabilitation centre rescued from the tortures of various circus shows. Useful information regarding the hard work of veterinary doctors, the expenditure of food and medicines on these animals (nearly 1 Lakh on each per annum), special operation theatres, names of these lions and tigers like Raja, Billu…etc, so much of intersting things have been telecasted.

Our onscreen Lions and Tigers may beat up goons in 100’s of numbers at one time, but there is pity situation for many Lions and Tigers known for their ferociousness sitting dull in the cages suffering with various kinds of diseases and oldness.

Few of the artists from filmy circuit are known to be coming forward in Bollywood to adopt these Lions and Tigers and spend the annual expenditure that is incurred on them. Let such movement be begun even in Tollywood too. Not just the names, let them prove it in spirit too.
