Ramgopal Varma’s trilingual ‘Raktha Charitra’ is getting into petty issues as Fighters Associations in Bollywood have demanded thrice their remunerations as the movie is being made simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu pointing out that Maniratnam’s bilingual ‘Raavan’ had paid twice the levy.

Producer Sheetal Talwar speaking to media said, ‘It was true that we were asked to pay up three times the normal levy for the fights for our film Raktha Charitra. The argument was that Maniratnam’s Raavan has paid them twice the levy. But we argued back that in Raavan, all the fights were different since the Tamil and Hindi versions of the film star different actors. In Raktha Charitra, we have exactly the same cast in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu and the fights have not been shot twice over. Only the close ups in the two versions are different.’

Fighters Association seems not to be convinced with Producer’s argument and determined to fight for double the levy.
