Telugu girl Sobhita Dhulipala goes to Hollywood. She has signed her first Hollywood maiden project titled Monkey Man which is written and directed by Dev Patel. While she is a popular face in Bollywood and South, her Hollywood project would further raise her stakes.
Speaking about her Hollywood debut- Monkey Man, Sobhita had auditioned for the role five years back. Speaking about the film and her role, she said, “I had auditioned for it almost five years ago and I got a call back in a few days for a screen test with Dev. I remember, it was on the day I was leaving for the Cannes Film festival with my first film Raman Raghav 2.0 (2016). What appealed to me about the project is that it’s a collaborative spirit, a young and rather eccentric approach to the story and most certainly the people involved. I really enjoyed my character’s tender dilemmas, they were as glamorous as sorrowful.”
Apart from Monkey Man, Sobhita has a string of films in the line-up. She has bi-lingual film with Adivi Sesh - Major, Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan, then Malayalam film Kurup and Hindi film Sitara.
