SS Rajamouli took the graph of Indian cinema anotch higher by taking it on a global map with his installments "Baahubali 1" and "Baahubali 2" that created a sensation at the box office all over the world. The pan-Indian film went on to mint crores and the second series has grossed around Rs 2,000 crore itself which is a huge.

Netflix Scraps 100 Cr Version

Sensing how Baahubali can be a game changer at the Indian market and the craze it encapsulates among Indians and how it can be Indianised version of  ‘Game Of Thrones’, the digital streaming platform Netflix went on to go for a show - Bahubali: Before The Beginning. 

Netflix had allotted Rs 100 crores for the show which was directed by Praveen Sattaru under the vision of Rajamouli. But unhappy with the output Netflix has now scrapped the episode and has again allotted Rs 200 crores for it’s re-shoot. So in totality, the budget has now gone to Rs 300 crores for the 9 part episode with two series. 

Now, the re-shoot will be done by a new team. The original had Mrunal Thakur essaying the role of Shivagami and if she is retained or changed in the new version is to be seen. Bahubali: Before The Beginning is the prequel to the two part installments whichs choricnles the saga of Shivagami and her rise in Mahishmati.
