Venkatesh is presently back in Hyderabad after a brief family vacation at Kodaikanal. Soon, he will leave to Vijayanagaram for shooting some key scenes in an old palace for his next movie tentatively titled ‘Nagamalli’ (Sequel to Chandramukhi), the supernatural film where Venky plays a psychologist.
There were wide spread rumors in Tamilnadu and Karnataka that actors (Soundarya and Vishnuvardhan) who took the lead roles in ‘Aapta Mitra’ and ‘Aapta Rakshaka’ (Native versions of Chandramukhi and its sequel Nagamalli) were haunted by evil spirits of Nagavalli, the dead character in both the movies and that was the reason behind the death of Soundarya and Vishnuvardhan few days before the release of ‘Aapta Mitra’ and ‘Aapta Rakshaka’ respectively while Rajinikanth was rumored to have performed special yagnas to ward off this evil spirit before it took his life.
Now, Venkatesh is portraying he same role which Late Vishnuvardhan has done in ‘Aapta Rakshaka.’ When media questioned him linking these rumors to his character in ‘Nagamalli,’ he answered, ‘Rumors are just rumors. It depends on what you want to believe. I have never planned anything in my life. Iam just alert to opportunities. These things happen mysteriously. Iam not a great planner, just sincere about my work and my family upbringing has inculcated a discipline in me,’ said the brave Venky.
