Market Maata: 'Varudu' declared 'Upma' Cinema

Don’t get bizarre by the word ‘Upma.’ Although this food forms the important menu for South Indian breakfasts, but altogether there is other definition in Filmnagar circles. ‘Upma’ is meant to indicate the artists or technicians in Filmanagar who have very less prominence and are never treated as a part of their Filmi community because of their unworthy skills and more of show type. They call such artists as ‘Upma Artists.’

Even our breakfast ‘Upma’ has such kind of distinguished tag attached to it. Now it was heard here and there in Filmanagar circles and people around started to declare ‘Varudu’ as ‘Upma’ cinema.

Sorry for all those, who really love ‘Upma.’ But that is what Filmnagar is famous for, if you don’t like anything or if you look at something as inferior in quality…call it as just ‘Upma.’
