Couple of days back shocking news came out that Gst's anti profiteering wing, Ranga Reddy district conducted surprise raids on super star Mahesh Babu's AMB Cinemas and found out that the management had not reduced the prices of tickets which came into effect from Jan 1st after the Gst Council had reduced the tax on tickets costing more than Rs 100 from 28 per cent to 18 per cent.

People got surprised when it came out that Gst served notices to Mahesh Babu and others for tax evasion amounting to Rs 35.66 lakhs. Mahesh Babu's team rubbished all these claims.

However according to the latest Gst Commissionerate came up with an official statement praising Mahesh Babu and Sunil Narang for returning back Rs 35.66 lakhs which they collected from the movie lovers at AMB Cinemas to 'Consumers welfare fund' realizing their mistake. 

They said till now none behaved in such a responsible manner returning the excess Gst in the country. The Commissionerate hailed Mahesh Babu and Suneel Narag for becoming the role model and felt that this will have positive impact on theatre managements in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Bengaluru.
