2.0 Beats Rangasthalam

Poor planning from producers affected premiere show and first day collections on super star Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar’s 2.0. Fortunately, the film witnessed big growth from Friday. 2.0 Sunday reported hourly gross is $625k from 289 locations (9 PM EST) and total gross is $3.63 million. 

This is so far highest grossing south Indian film of 2018. It surpassed lifetime collections of mega power star Ram Charan starrer Rangasthalam in just four days. Interestingly, Rajinikanth’s Kaala is the only other Tamil film in the list, which means Telugu films had complete dominating show at USA box office this year.
