Taxiwala Nearing That Mark

Vijay Devarakonda’s previous movie NOTA ended as a debacle at box office incurring huge losses to distributors. Interestingly, his new outing Taxiwala despite mixed talk is doing wonderful business in domestic and overseas markets.

Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, Taxiwala has reached breakeven mark in first day itself. Now, the film is nearing half a million mark. It grossed $115,944 through premieres and $192,802 on Saturday. With the Sunday gross of nearly $109K, Taxiwala collected a total gross of nearly $417K in its first weekend run in USA.

Overseas distributors will enjoy huge profits with the film as they invested very less amount, compared to investment on his previous films, to acquire rights. Taxiwala is expected to enter profit zone very soon in Telugu states as well.

As per trade reports, Taxiwala is doing decent trade in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
