Countdown has begun for release of happening hero Vijay Deverakonda’s political drama film Nota which will hit the screens in less than 24 hours. Directed by Anand Shankar, the film discusses political scenario in current day.
Trade pundits are eagerly waiting to see how audience will receive this film since political backdrop films backfire most of times. However, many believe in Vijay Deverakonda who is capable of picking right subjects.
Except for Dwaraka, he only scored super hits so far. Especially, his last movie Geetha Govindam turned out as one of the biggest blockbusters of Telugu cinema with over Rs 60 Cr share.
In fact, buyers too have faith in Vijay Deverakonda, so they invested good amounts to acquire theatrical rights of Nota. The film’s AP and Telangana rights were sold for 19 Cr, whereas Karnataka, Tamil Nadu (Telugu Version) and North India rights fetched 2.50 Cr for producers. Overseas rights were sold for an outright price of Rs 3.5 Cr. Totally, Nota has done a worldwide pre-release business off Rs 25 Cr.
Considering Vijay Deverakonda’s current form and advance bookings, Nota is a safe bet for buyers who invested nearly half amount of what Geetha Govindam gathered from theaters.
