Journalist Files Case On Maruthi’s Film

Brand Babu which hit the screens yesterday got a huge shock when a journalist from a vernacular daily filed police complaint against the makers. The woman journalist in her complaint to the Banjara Hills Police alleged that the Brand Babu makers used her photograph in the film without her consent. She accused the makers of stealing her snap from her facebook profile and later used the same in a death scene in the film directed by Prabhakar Podakandla.

She said she lodged the complaint with the police after she watched the film and much to her shock found her snap in a death scene. She said the makers insulted her without showing any respect and using her snap in a death scene in the film.

Brand Babu starred Sumanth Shailendra and Eesha Rebba in the film under the direction of Prabhakar Podakandla. Maruthi penned story, besides co-producing it. The response from the filmmakers is yet to be known.
