With just 2 months about to complete this year, let’s see the current trend of Telugu Movie Industry. We have several surprises during these couple of months. The most anticipated movies that released with high expectations tanked at the box office. At the same time, few movies without any expectations went on to become super hits.

Debut directors have proved their talent with their movies. Chalo, directed by Venky Kudumula became the biggest hit in Naga Shaurya’s career. Following the similar trend, Venky Atluri’s debut movie Tholi Prema emerged as one of the biggest hit in Varun Tej’s career and has cemented his place as the next star from Konidela family. Tholi Prema, also gave Raashi Khanna a huge life and her career seems to fall in place with this movie. The recently released Nani’s first production venture Awe is receiving huge accolades from audience and is emerging as another hit this year. Awe is directed by debutante Prashanth Varma.

On the other hand, senior directors like Trivikram Srinivas and VV Vinayak had to face severe blows with their movies Agnyaathavaasi and Intteligent bombing very badly at box office. Few other new directors like Vikram Sirikonda and Manjula Ghattamaneni had to face failures with their movies Touch ChesiChudu and Manasuku Nachindhi turning to be out right failures.

Let’s see what is in store for the coming months. One thing is clear that audience are in no mood to accept routine movies and are clearly giving thumbs up for movies with novel concepts and narration. We hope to see more of these in coming months.
