There is no stopping for Bharatiya Janata Party in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh elections. In Gujarat, it will be 5th consecutive term for Bjp. Though it was a tense morning for the ruling party as trends showed Bjp and Congress neck to neck, the latest trend shows Bjp in a comfortable lead of 105 seats while Congress is close to 70.
In 2012, Bjp has won 115 seats out of 182 in Gujarat while in this election, it might fall short of a few seats but comfortable enough to steal the power.
Congress is receiving shocks in Himachal Pradesh. Bjp is set to wrench power from the ruling Congress party in this state. Bjp is leading in 39 seats out of 68 and is in the path towards a historic victory. In the last elections, Bjp won 26 seats while Congress won 36. Now, Bjp is leading in 39 and is well ahead of the magical number 35.
Well, the assembly elections in UP, Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh will definitely give a boost to Bjp and will help increase their confidence level for the 2019 elections is what political analysts predict.
WithRahul Gandhi at the helm of affairs as new Congress President, it is time for them to seriously start thinking of how to strategize the political canvassing and get ready to defeat the mighty Bjp in 2019.
