Okkadu Migiladu starring Manchu Manoj and Anisha Ambrose in lead roles released with decent expectations this Friday. Director Ajay Andrews Nuthakki did a lengthy role as Victor.
Okkadu Migiladu could not meet audience expectations and garnered a very poor mouth talk along with poor reviews from critics. This reflected on the box office performance from day 1 itself. In few multiplexes, Saturday morning shows have reportedly been cancelled due to lack of minimum audience to run the show.
Reliable sources reported that a show was cancelled at a Multiplex in Hyderabad as there were only single digit tickets sold for that show. With this paltry run at box office, it looks like the makers will hardly recover the costs of publicity from theatrical run.
Manchu Manoj who is desperately looking for a break could not get on the success streak even with Okkadu Migiladu. Though the film is showing a dismal BO run, Manchu Manoj is being praised for his impeccable performance.
There is also a talk that the movie has lots of Tamil nativity and will be difficult for Telugu audience to connect with the subject.
Manchu Manoj should be very careful in selecting scripts is what inside sources reveal.
