Pawan Kalyan Shades In Gautham Nanda

Director Sampath Nandi made a mark with his earlier movies Yemaindhi Ee Vela, Racha and Bengal Tiger. All of these films were commercial hits at Box Office. On the eve of his 36th birthday today, he shared some interesting things on his about to release flick Gautham Nanda starring Gopichand, Hansika Motwani and Catherine Teresa in lead roles.

- I am happy that the teaser of Gautham Nanda has already touched 2.5 million views which itself is a birthday special for me.

- Gautham Nanda is a story about identifying the self like the film’s tagline says. Nikithin Dheer and Mukesh Rishi are main villains. It has many shades to Gautham character played by Pawan Kalyan in Atharantiki Daaredi.

- Gopichand plays the son of billionaire in Forbes list. In order to show him to that extent, we did some research on Forbes billionaires list and finally came with this getup of Gautham Nanda for Gopichand.

- I have been influenced by Ramana Maharishi teachings. He has written a book called Who Am I and his philosophy is the main inspiration for Gautham Nanda. Also, Thanikella Bharani enacted the role of Shiva Prakash Pillai who questioned Ramana Maharishi on Who Am I. We obviously kept the treatment commercial. 

- We also know about Dhravya Dolanki from Kerala whose father left him to the world by giving him 7000 rupees after he completed the masters. He is now a successful entrepreneur in US. One would have heard the lines in teaser about telling protagonist that one should know about the world before this world knows him.

- Gautham Nanda has Gopichand’s mark for sure. For the first time, I wrote the story as a story without any hero in mind.

- Though this film has philosophical flavor, it is a complete commercial entertainer.

- Since I need to write story and dialogues, it usually takes about six months time in between projects. I don’t have any bounded scripts on hand as I don’t believe in it. I normally pick a line running in mind and make changes following the running trend.

- As far as budget goes, I always have the habit of giving a final budget sheet to the producer based on subject and never exceeded it.

- From the day I told this story, music composer Thaman and cameraman Soundarrajan travelled along with me. Especially Soundarajan has been with me whole year without accepting any other movie and the same is with Thaman who gave a wonderful music.

- Gopichand has done adventurous feats like sky diving, surfing, wing walk, biking in desert. It is always very important for a hero and director to develop a wavelength. 

- Producers J.Bhagawan and J.Pulla Rao spent a lot on the story and every penny can be watched in the grandeur. 

- We are left with one and half song balance and will complete the shoot soon to release the movie in July for sure.

- I have a new line for my next story. Still, I need to pen it. I won’t mind to take a gap until I prepare a bound script.
