Director, Heroine - Press Meet Marriage

Tamil director Velu Prabhakaran gave a shocking surprise to media friends by inviting them to his marriage with heroine Shirley Das. Thrilled with the message, scribes attended the press meet yesterday in Chennai and the director tied knot to his heroine in front of TV cameras. 

As per reports, both of them are working on new Tamil film Oru Iyakkunarin Kaadhal Diary for which Ilayaraja composed music. While some called off this stint as a promotional strategy for the new film, director Velu Prabhakaran further stated that everything done is officially legal and there is nothing to hide.

‘India is not a forward thinking Nation yet. So, nobody of my age will usually marry now. Obviously, there will be lot of questions to ask. But what would you say when someone like Donald Trump married at 74 years age and his wife is so youthful. Beyond age, a man requires companion or support for his life. I am lucky to find Shirley who is my best companion. She understood me completely and I accept her as a nature’s gift. As I am a divorcee, she will fill my void and the loneliness,’ Velu says.
