Roger Moore, James Bond Is No More!

Senior actor Sir Roger Moore is no more. The actor best known for playing James Bond died at the age of 89 in Switzerland. An announcement on the same is officially made by his family members.

A statement from his children, ‘Thank you Pops for being you, and being so very special to so many people. With the heaviest of hearts, we must share the awful news that our father, Sir Roger Moore, passed away today. We are all devastated.’

Roger Moore played the famous spy in seven Bond films viz. Live and Let Die (1973), The Man with the Golden Gun (1974), The Spy Who Loved Me (1977), Moonraker (1979), For Your Eyes Only (1981), Octopussy (1983) and A View to a Kill (1985).

Roger Moore had a short but brave battle with cancer. He took the character of James Bond in a more humorous direction than his predecessor Sean Connery. A private funeral will be held in Monaco in accordance with his wishes.
