Why Is India So Unhappy @ 122nd?

Indians are truly unhappy. Yes, the World Happiness report 2017 released yesterday ranked 155 countries based on their happiness levels (Happiness Index) kept India at all time low 122nd position dropping by four slots down from 118 in 2013-15 report. This survey is done based on an UN initiative to list out the happiest countries.

While Norway is the happiest country on earth, our neighbors China (79), Pakistan (80), Nepal (99), Bangladesh (110), Iraq (117) and Sri Lanka (120) fared far better than us.

Happiness Index is mapped on the parameters likeGDP per capita, social support, healthy life expectancy, freedom to make life choices, generosity and perceptions of corruption.
