Kattappa: More & More Focus

‘Bahubali’ is by itself became a brand of National and International fame. SS Rajamouli hasn’t left any stone unturned in making all the characters from his magnum opus like Amarendra Bahubali, Shivudu, Bhallala Deva, Deva Sena, Shivagami, Kattappa, Bijjala Deva, Kalakeya and Avanthika play on the tongues of Indian fantasy movie lovers getting a life in our memories. 

For South Indian audience, these names have become by-hearted but what’s more shocking is a discussion like ‘Why Kattappa Killed Bahubali?’ is topping in political circles too. For example, the same question is used by PM Narendra Modi while campaigning for recent Utter Pradesh elections. Such is the meritorious popularity for ‘Bahubali’ characters and especially Kattappa.

Looks like Karan Johar, the Bollywood promoter and distributor for ‘Bahubali 2’ explained the importance of Kattappa in publicity and made Rajamouli to design special posters on Sathya Raj. Above is one such poster with the tag, ‘The boy he raised and The man he killed.’ Isn’t this really invigorating to see a side character stealing the main attention?
