Gummadi passes away.

Gummadi Venaketshwara Rao, the age old Bhishma, Dasharatha, Balarama of Tollywood and most respected personality in cine circles has passed away at midnight in Care Hospital, Hyderabad. After suffering a minor heart related problem on Sunday, he was immediately rushed to Care Hospital where he was kept under super specialist Dr. Soma Raju’s cardiac team.

News spread about his slipping into coma on Monday and the last moments have arrived when the multi organ failure has become imminent. Fondly called as Gummadi in Tollywood, he lived his fullest for 60 years as an actor in his total life period of 83 years.

Gummadi garu was born on 9th July 1927 in Ravikampadu, Vemuru Mandal in Guntur District. His first movie was ‘Adrushta Deepudu’ released in 1950 wherein he debuted as a hero. Later he acted in nearly 500 movies portraying different kind of characters. Cinejosh prays for this great soul to rest in peace.
